TRAUMA INCIDENT MANAGEMENT
Course objectives: On completion of this
course candidates will have acquired the
skills and knowledge to provide pre–hospital
emergency care to victims of trauma before
the arrival of the Emergency Services.
Who should attend? This course is aimed at
persons who are required to provide a high
standard of pre-hospital emergency care to
victims of trauma i.e. ERT members, First
Responder’s etc. Ideally candidates will
have completed a recognised Occupational
First Aid Course, BLS for Healthcare
Providers, and Spinal Immobilization.
Duration:
1 day (for persons with Occupational First
Aid, BLS for Healthcare Providers, oxygen
therapy & Spinal Immobilization)
2 days (for persons with Occupational First
Aid, and BLS for Healthcare Providers)
3 days (for persons with Occupational First
Aid)
6 days (for persons with no formal First Aid
training)
Instructors: This course will be delivered
by two Emergency Medical Technicians
(Paramedics)
