OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID This course meets and exceeds the requirements of the Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work (general applications) Regulations 1993 {S.I. No 44 of 1993} and 2007 Course Syllabus: Lesson 1: Assessment & Accident Scene Management Lesson 2: Circulation, Wounds, Bleeding & Shock Lesson 3: Respiration & Asphyxia Lesson 4: Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation Lesson 5: Unconsciousness Lesson 6: Fractures, Sprains, Strains & Dislocations Lesson 7: Burns & Scalds, Chemicals/Poisons & Electric Shock Lesson 8: Medical Emergencies, Crush & Spinal injuries. Max candidates: 12 Duration: 24 hours including examination Instructor: The Instructor on this course will be an Emergency Medical Technician (Paramedic) and will have been assessed by the National Ambulance Training School as required by the HSA Certification: On successful completion of the written and practical exams candidates will be issued with a 3 year Occupational First Aid certificate.
